Re: Music Music Music

Haha that is great, it is soooooooo Billy Joel! My paste was still occupied by the same paste, oops. I meant the System of a down Aerials. Generally if a choice arises where you can attribute my failure with a computing device to total incompetence, yet you doubt it because I don't seem entirely stu...

Re: Republicans

It turns out that one of my doctors appears to have gotten some kind of weird Russian grifter bride who claims to be a doctor, yet is involved in a grifty type of snake oil sales company, and is spreading her mistrust of covid vaccines and testing around my community in a manner far more effective t...

Re: What's YOUR problem?

I no longer feel capable of dealing with all the things and yet, I'm still getting up and trying to deal with them, so maybe I can. Things have come to a place of, well, I can't live like this!!! Covid is to blame for creating the strange new circumstances of life that are making things difficult, b...

Re: Music Music Music

When this song came out many years ago I was thinking about making a kid Ariel, so I found it rather amusing, but I ended up being (rightly) convinced that the Disney Little Mermaid would affect that name for many decades to come.

Re: Music Music Music

I have been listening to Scars on Broadway, the more recent project of the guitarist from System of a Down. It's pretty good! I had always suspected that the musical quality I liked in system of a down, and even the backing vocal I preferred, was in fact accomplished by this dude with the crazy eyes...

Re: Trump

Well it is a tempting thought for all of us who need money. I have learned to speak the language of these people - after all, it is the familiar language of Sarah Palin, the language of convincing a bunch of beta cucks that they are actually glorious alpha males like their hero, DJT. All that stuff ...

YES! LIFT HEAVY!!! For light stuff in high reps, if you have a cat, the "Cats Pride" litter in the green jug is the cheap kind and it is THE best lightweight kettlebell in the world, preferable even to real kettlebells. Alternating one arm snatches of that cat litter, or lunges while holdi...

Re: Music Music Music

Features everything I love about modern pop, which is mainly, being as catchy-as-hell and wearing its influences heavy on its sleeves. Crisp modern production, anthemic 80s throwback (interpolating INXS) but also a 70s disco floor stomper. It's basically that one inxs song - I think need you tonigh...

Re: Democrats

Really wish larger numbers of Democrats were not so keen on pushing pro-lifers clean out of the party. I encounter a number of young people who are fairly vigorously pro-life but also believe in things like protecting against further impacts of climate change, not being racist assholes, and so forth...

Every one of these f****** except Romney is FULLY complicit in all the bad things that are happening. None of this crap would be allowed if the Senate pushed back on it. Or even if significant Republican governors or Congress people pushed back on it. And Romney has his own problems, so... I'm not t...

Re: Music Music Music

Haven't yet seen the new version of the movie but have been presented with the new version of the song, and it's actually quite good for what it is. I'm glad they had her sing it again - it should have been her. She has managed to constrain some of her florid vocal stylings and channel them towards ...
