Re: The Military

The Native American question makes every evil American impulse huge. Nobody in leadership has got it right yet.
That's another thread all by itself.

Re: Yetis with touch attacks

ok, so especially if nobody else is deeply interested, Hal will throw in for the griffon. Suggest Sam or Anna takes the ring as a backup for a missile weapon and to potentially keep things away. I know Sam probably has the invisibility ring handy too, but it might be a good idea in reserve. Not sure...

So, missed eggs. Pretty universal that eggs are an A+ item regardless of competence or method. Had 1000 year old eggs, salt duck eggs, everything but ostrich. Tough to beat. Basically could live on eggs and sweet potatoes. Never a fan of chick peas. Went through a hummus phase, but something in it g...

Re: Table of Contents trivia

wow, apparently I suck at hints It's comprehensive because, yes, like aging and patterns and the Dewey decimal system it reaches into multiple disciplines However, it is completely reactive, which is to say, it is a reaction to phenomena that touch all these topics. Most people would not consider it...

Re: Table of Contents trivia

Not really a system of arrangement, more like a response to a wide-spread phenomenon.

This is a page that people could add to as new {the title of the page} become entrenched.

Re: Table of Contents trivia

Microwaves is an outlier, so not a particularly informative hint, but also an exemplar.
Hints:
I do reference it in many of my classes.
I originally got the idea to use it from an XKCD webcomic, but I don't honor the date he suggested

Hey,
Is that mansion stationary once you cast it? or can it possibly be transported?

Re: Yetis with touch attacks

Absolutely not complaining, Hal rolled two crits in two rounds, insanely lucky.
just envisioning if the initiative had been reversed, Sam was in range, could've been really bad.

More like an object lesson in strategic positioning.

Yetis with touch attacks

Hey all, last night we pilfered some trinkets from the Yetis, no soap on more sihedron tokens to get through the barrier. Did the math: smiting, adamantium, dominant...which gets past most DR ..29+32+35+32=128 (that's not counting the two crits) He was solo. No telling how unpleasant this might have...

Re: Post-Glitterpuss Plans

We have enough flight capacity and invisibility capacity (sam's ring, etc) that aerial mapping/evaluation might be a great first step to measure movement, population, etc. It would be a bit coarser resolution than having Illian tail a yeti, but would hugely speed our awareness and intel gathering. J...

If we needed evidence (beyond that of our own eyes, or collectively of decades of statistics) that the system is broken, we finally have it. This is a system that can't work. Zimbardo and others have basically proven that huge imbalances of power, whether realized by weapons or badges or wealth, fun...

Love the miracle of solid-state...much more reliable, maybe zero moving parts...

One (maybe the only) downside: if it fails, there's only system redundancy to save you...no more cobbling together a solution from spare parts.

Not to conflate threads, but these are exactly the people who have trouble with feminists. It's nothing to do with the vision the feminists have, but with their own overweening phobic insecurities and deep attachment to myth over reality. This is a result, I believe, of a long history of railing abo...

Horseradish...the good kind, of course, The kind my sister prepares at home. Never actually nibbled on the root raw, but it's now on my list. Hugely utilitarian for spice with foods from places that didn't have sunshine. deeper, more substantial spice than most peppers, maybe it's the fiber, maybe t...
