Re: This Happened
Well, I finally went to a doctor about this persistent cough that I've had for the last week and a half. He decided that I probably needed a round of antibiotics, probably based on my history of sinus infections and the fact that the illness doesn't seem to be getting that much better and it's going...

Re: This Happened
My work might be impacted. We have several clients who, while not teaching staff, have offices at various university campuses that are closing. It is very possible that they will not be able to get to their offices and complete things on their end. In addition, we have one contract that involves shi...

Re: This Happened
Most of the colleges are going to online after spring break, most likely to prevent the students who went home to god knows where from returning to campus with the virus.

Re: This Happened
I don't know what we'll do if they close schools. It's county policy that we can't require students to do work on the internet at home--we have a lot of poor families, some of whom don't have internet access. That's kind of a problem for my daughter's community college as well. I hope the local lib...

Re: This Happened
My son is on spring break from Southern Illinois now and they just announced that they are extending break until March 22 (it was supposed to end after this weekend) to give the professors a chance to transition to online and they are going online until further notice. He is still driving back down...

Re: Calendar (September 2019-Present)
I'mma gonna be there! Sorry about your gig issues... not sorry about THIS! Especially after last time when I was the ONLY MELEE COMBATANT! (I acquitted myself quite admirably if I do say so myself... Two crits on the first full attack and a successful feint and attack for the second to give me the ...

Re: Democrats
One of the headlines on my obnoxious alarm (that actually works to wake me up) that spews the weather forecast and daily headlines at me caught my attention this morning. I didn't catch what it was entirely, but it was something about "Trump", "Biden", and "Senile". I w...
Re: Democrats
I had a rather sobering thought when I heard the Super Tuesday results... That thought was: The person Joe Biden reminds me the most of is probably Bob Dole... the next thought to come to mind was that perhaps Walter Mondale was an even better fit, but Dole came to mind first... The point is: a pro...

Re: D&D alignment charts
I vary between LG if the book has a built-in ribbon, true neutral if I have a free bookmark (seldom), CG otherwise, and LN for my many ebooks that I read. Exactly! I just don't have enough books with built in ribbons that I bothered to think of it! I DO have a few bookmarks lying around because I g...

Though I would switch Neutral and Chaotic Evil. I think placing the book face down is more chaotic. It damages the spine...
I guess I vacillate between Chaotic Good, True Neutral, and Lawful Neutral... Mostly Lawful Neutral lately...

I watched the first episode of Electric Dreams quite a while ago. I need to watch the rest. The first episode was seriously good.
