Re: Music Music Music
I was quite happy to take your suggestion of listening to that song, and this was a different version than the normal "Killing me softly" that I am accustomed to playing? It did have really nice music! I liked her slightly different way of phrasing it too. Every so often I listen to Lauryn...

I'm editing this to have a title: "Mom gives up and tries to take a 15-minute break; falls asleep from total exhaustion." Hole E Cowwwww I am so confused, I just had the weirdest dream. The weirdest. The weirdest. I know there's nothing more boring than reading other people's dreams but I ...

Re: Race in RPGs
I do love this - they're not races. And the extra benefits! My grandpa used to take me to see the horse origins. On an especially muddy day we would be standing there close enough to be hit with the spray from those origins. It was magical.

Not only that, but if he fails to be a ninja, it simply proves that Mike didn't attack him enough or well enough when they were young. Mike, you built this through your neglect of violence.

Re: SCOTUS talk
Your base assumption that you've built everything else on is that ACB absolutely gave Trump the equivalent of a loyalty pledge, and I feel that the evidence of that is circumstantial at best. Well, we can agree to disagree about this; I think Trump is too focused on his own self-interest to have do...

Re: What's YOUR problem?
Things even at their best are always about 2 mm from utterly falling apart. I've got this, I've got this, I've got this, but for how much longer? How poorly will things have to go and what will be sacrificed for the sake of what else?

I appreciate you for seeing the good in people, but I don't think it's much of a question whether he asked for her loyalty in the event of a disputed election, and secured it. Maybe she will betray him, who knows, but surely she gave him an understanding. The puzzle for me is how she could do that -...

Re: SCOTUS talk
So you know the only way Barrett gets the nod is if she has promised fealty to her master, in the event of a disputed election, and I cannot help but be fascinated at how a person like her does this. Does she do it simply to secure her place on the Court, assuming that the best outcome is for her to...

Is that a Bon Jovi song? I try to guess and usually do not know! I am good with lyrics when it comes to my favorite songs, but others? No idea!

Re: Presidential Debates 2020
But when you practice for the debate with a room full of white nationalists, they probably don't do a great job of prepping for that question... The fact that his "prepped" response was to ask for a specific name to be criticized is telling. Dang, if only they had gone with "neo-Nazi&...

I'm not sure how widespread the use of this term is among logicians or others, but informally this sort of thing might be called "kettle logic".

It's very revealing that he wanted a specific name he could decide whether to denounce or sidestep, because he can't very well denounce the foundation and essence of his entire ideology, can he? But he might be able to refuse affiliation with specific groups. Unfortunately, the Proud Boys are not on...

Re: Music Music Music
I'm still on the Lady Gaga 9-1-1, I love it. It's such a pleasantly empty robotic sound, it's like being in a very clean room with very little stuff in it so that sound echoes off the walls a little. Apart from that I've been listening to nothing but classical music lately. So much music going on he...

My husband is watching a show called Cougar Town. It has Courtney Cox and one of the good people from that show that ended in the '90s, oh... Freaks and Geeks, the blonde gal. It makes me want to tear the carpet out of the room bit by bit with my teeth. He seems so completely psychologically unaffec...

Re: Dream Journal
I slept for another 25 minutes during which time I dreamed I was a teenager living with my parents again in our old house. Many of these age regressed dreams lately; it is disturbing! Anyway in this one I was introducing them to my nerdy boyfriend, and was concerned about what my parents would think...
