Re: Wow. Go Barbie.
My Barbie never said a word of this to me. But I'm glad she's finally discussing it.

Re: Republicans
Yes, just like that. Except also the schools, the forest schools. Perhaps these are like the Forest Cities our great Young one mentioned.

Cobra Kai
This was not my choice of show to watch, and one must endure a great deal of Bad to acquire the Good here, but the show is HILARIOUS and so much better than you think it would be.

Re: Republicans
These Looney tunes are giving us two responses to the news about the kidnapping plot of the Michigan Governor: The kidnappers were actually leftist anarchists (no), and the kidnappers were at least justified in theory if not in specific practice because that terrible b**** was taking away people's f...

Re: What are you watching?
I think Jeff Hauze likes it and that's enough to at least give it a try; the man has taste. totally bummed because my husband just told me there's a new season of The Good place and then I was reminded the fact that Jeff won't speak to me anymore because of a ridiculous trivial dispute about whethe...

Re: Dream Journal
My first dog was alive again and living with me, but she was sick and the whole dream was frustrated efforts to understand why she was sick or access treatment for it. In short, a delightful time spent romping with this wonderful precious dog, but the whole time horrified at the creepy undercurrent ...

I have discovered I can go to the grocery store if I shop at about 7:00 a.m., because the main exposure is to employees who are careful to stay distanced and are all wearing their masks.

Re: Music Music Music
This pleases me because I love the beat and not so much the n-word laden rap, the "let's turn to casual prostitution as an economic life solution!" rap. So here we have the beat in all its glory:
Re: Trump
At this point it's almost painful to watch Trump ... straining to play the role of virus-dominator, buoyed up by steroids or whatever other drugs they've been giving him. His breathing looks labored out on that balcony. I wish he would actually take the time to recover properly, because none of this...
Re: I voted
It could indeed, it could indeed. The basic respect for protecting voting rights is very encouraging; these voting solutions seem more common in the more remote western states, if we may include Nebraska there. Maybe some of it is a function of needing to reach a dispersed population, perhaps under ...
Re: Trump
Biden cannot suppress his own instincts to be a nice guy; reportedly wanted to call Trump personally, and now is talking about how he shouldn't have called him a clown. No, my guy, no, that was one of the most kind and gentle terms you can use while still being accurate.
Re: I voted
My own county is very rural and only has two places to drop off ballots: the courthouse in the county seat, and then a drop box at the city building of the largest town in the county. But Lincoln and Omaha each have a dozen or more. In general this is a really good thing! I gather that when you loo...
Re: I voted
Once more have executed the sacred duty. It's always a great pleasure. Was horrified to realize that a particularly important local office involved some typical stooge running unopposed. I would have done something about this had I known, by getting someone to run. But anyway, here's hoping it all w...

Re: Can you do it?
I generally don't suggest this to people; to my own kids, partially yes, because I know they are privileged enough in life for it to be mostly true, but even then they're still living in this system. It's more like, you can accomplish the things that would put you in contention for almost anything, ...
