Re: I'm feeling less positive
If you want to look to why Clinton is down from Obama over various demographics, I think the simplest answer is that Barack Obama is one of the most charismatic people to ever hold the office of president, while Hilary Clinton is severely lacking in the charisma department. That's a really big fact...
Re: Trump
I think regionalism was also a bigger issue early on. What if nearly every state voted mostly for their own guy and no one had >20% of the popular vote. There would have to be a mechanism for resolution and a runoff would be hard with super slow communication. Well, I don't see the electoral college...

Re: I'm feeling less positive
It'll be interesting to see how internal issues within the gop pan out. Some disavowed Trump; some of those stuck with it. Plus, Trump isn't that conservative in some ways - he's not religious and, prior to the campaign, didn't have many core conservative positions.
Re: Trump
With all the focus on electoral votes last night, I didn't notice that Clinton is likely to win the popular vote. The electoral college has been very kind to Republicans.

Re: I'm feeling less positive
Rather surprised. Forced myself to go to sleep, then woke up and couldn't sleep without checking. Still not official but Trump has the unexpected lead in much of the rust belt, so don't see how Clinton could win. All the negatives in the news worked. I can't help but think Sanders would have won on ...

Re: Voting
Forgot to add, the wife's coworker got 2 texts in the last week falsely telling her that her voting location had changed. How are practices like this not a serious crime? I feel like the stories about voter fraud (which is hugely impractical enact on large enough level to matter) are just distractio...

Re: Lean and Mean: A Case Study in Remaining Competitive
It's like a text fossil. The original has been eroded away but your impression remains.
Voting
The wife and I voted around 7:45. Higher turnout than usual but the election staff is well organized and the wait was 10 minutes. Everything smooth and quick. The state uses scantrons bubbled in with black pens that voters feed into a machine themselves - electronic count, paper backup. Trump is lik...
Re: Clinton
But I think it's all ridiculous. Very few people changed their minds because of this latest blow up. People who felt Clinton wasn't guilty didn't change their minds, and people that think she's guilty didn't change their minds, and people on the fence don't really give a flying fuck and want everyt...

Phillipa was a halfling bard airship pilot. She was raised by a gnome and a warforged couple in their mechanics' shop and she did beat poetry on the side. Her whole world came to a sudden stop as she was a character in a pbp game that died an early and mysterious death. Mike, when will you recognize...

So anyway, things are humming along in a "People Delight Me" kind of way, and then he sits down and starts READING THIS ALOUD: http://skillet.lifehacker.com/why-the-person-who-cooks-should-also-do-the-dishes-1788558731 Re-classified! About the 2nd comment down, the author of the article a...
Re: Clinton
Ron keeps assuring me that not only will she win, but that it won't even be close. Apparently he and Obama know something I don't, or I'm just temperamentally inclined to fear. That's my prediction as well, I'm guessing ~340-350 electoral votes. The media doesn't like blowouts as people stop tuning...
Re: Clinton
Wow. This woman has survived one of the most intense and expensive propaganda campaigns in history. I hope her election will make some GOP strategists feel like total losers. Really, the crap started getting flung in 1992 it was clear that she wasn't a housewife first lady. Then, when she started tr...

RIFTS is to Savage Worlds as Shadowrun is to ???
Did you hear that they are going to release a new version of Rifts using Savage Worlds rules? Rifts had some good ideas but it always seemed a bit too goofy, like an overly serious 12 year old to me. Plus, the mechanics were a mess. The owner was so tight fisted with the property and so behind the t...

re: MtG, DMDarcs pointed out to me a cheap way to play. On Amazon and elsewhere, you can get ~1000 commons for $10-$15. A while ago, me and the boy got one of those and a box of 300 land for $4. Some game stores sell commons for super cheap if you are seeking a particular common. There are also paup...

When you answered the fmk, were you thinking only of yourself or of all of the fans whose game you were killing or screwing?

I've been sick for a month and am now super behind at work. It's going to be a week or a month or more before I can get everything ready. I'm going to put this on hold until further notice. With only 2 characters, it's a bit slim anyway.
Sorry.
Sorry.

Re: This Happened
Luckily my plate situation is not so dire. Have you considered 2 sets of plates? Like breakfast and dinner? Or traditional and festive? Then you can keep what you have and just get ~6 more. I recently decided to replace the gross melamine plates that I had since college. I had bought 8 for $1 at a y...
