Nice, maybe the last word ends in "y", like, "in vocal support of ~company" is a "~companist".

It's also a word that has all different letters, so it can't be something like "communist" because that has 2 Ms.

A thought on a clue option:
can you define the last word in the definition with the same taking-out-letters rule?

No, but that fits! Amusing that there is more than one answer! The original word does not end in -ist, but this whole line of "a person who believes in ------y" is spot on.
