To open the kimono a bit here, I came across those exact articles that you mentioned when we started officially playing. Except for a few incidents where magic was used, your weather has been identical to that of Seattle. I know this, because I looked up the weather for the day the equivalent calendar date the campaign started in 2012 and have been following it in game ever since.

I'm a nerd.

So Eldthor being from up north, near Kalsgard, he would have grown up in the equivalent of Alaska or northern British Columbia. Nice.
